Declan Johnston
Mechanical Design Engineer
Applied Mechanics
Declan brings mechanical design and CAD modelling experience to his work with our vibration and damping systems team. He works with internal project teams and fabricators to deliver damping solutions for high-rise buildings, bridges and floors. In addition, Declan is experienced in monitoring the health of existing structures through site measurements and analysis. Working to expand the boundaries of damping technology, his research and development work has included the testing, characterization and validation of novel damper technologies, for implementation in vibration control projects. Declan has also worked on the design, manufacture, assembly, and commissioning of two bridge testing systems, incorporating automation and functional improvements from previous bridge testing methods.
