Luis Aun Fonseca
Mechanical Design Engineer
Luiz brings a variety of professional experiences to the team, ranging from the wind energy sector, to the manufacturing and aeronautic industries. His educational background focused on implementing a methodological approach to industry's mechanical fatigue related issues. Throughout his career, Luiz developed computational and experimental tools that enabled industrial partners to achieve engineered surface integrity parameters such as microhardness and residual stress. The utilization of the Finite Element Method
(FEM) in-line with component-level fatigue testing is one of Luiz's additions to the team, key to establish the phenomenological connection between manufacturing and dynamic behavior.
